This servo drive operates with an input voltage of 480 VAC, 3-phase, and delivers a continuous output current of 5.7 A with an output power of 2.0 kW. It is part of the Kinetix 300 series, designed for cost-effective, single-axis motion control.

The 2097-V34PR5 integrates Safe Torque-Off (STO) functionality, enhancing safety during maintenance and troubleshooting. With a built-in EtherNet/IP interface, it simplifies connectivity to modern industrial networks, reducing the need for dedicated motion control networks. This drive is ideal for applications requiring precise indexing and position control.

The 2097-V34PR5 features integrated Safe Torque-Off (STO), which allows safe machine access without removing power from the entire system. This reduces downtime and improves productivity. The drive supports multiple feedback devices, including SICK-Stegmann Hiperface, Generic TTL Incremental, and Tamagawa 17 bit Serial, providing flexibility for various motor types.

The drive can execute up to 32 indexes with five different indexing types, making it suitable for applications like indexing tables, form/fill/seal machines, and automatic assembly equipment. It requires a minimum mounting clearance of 3 mm (0.12 in.) on the sides and 25.0 mm (1.0 in.) on the top and bottom for proper airflow. The operating temperature range is 32-104 F (0-40 C). The drive does not include an integrated AC line filter or 120 Volt Doubler Mode. It is panel mountable and includes a single-ended thermostat that detects faults when resistance exceeds 10 kΩ.

The 2097-V34PR5 is well-suited for packaging machinery, such as intermittent horizontal and vertical form/fill/seal machines, simple sleevers, case packers, and erectors. Its indexing capabilities make it ideal for building indexing tables and feed and withdrawal equipment in automated assembly lines.

It also supports tool changing machinery and automatic assembly equipment, where precise position control and safety are critical. The drive's EtherNet/IP connectivity allows integration with HMIs, I/O, and programmable automation controllers (PACs), streamlining overall system architecture and reducing panel layout requirements.
