Expert Technical Evaluation & Performance Review

The T8310 resides in the two leftmost processor slots of the expander chassis. It provides a vital interface between the expander and controller assemblies. This module uses a fault-tolerant HIFT TMR architecture to ensure reliability. The system delivers a data transfer rate of 250Mbps. This high speed guarantees minimal latency in critical control loops.

The processor receives power from dual redundant +24V DC sources. This power comes directly from the expander chassis backplane. The supply range accepts 20 to 32 Vdc. The module consumes a maximum of 45 Watts. This design ensures stable operation even during power fluctuations.

Begin by installing the T8310 into the expander chassis. Place it in the two leftmost processor slots only. Ensure the module seats firmly into the backplane connectors. Secure the module using the provided locking mechanisms. This prevents vibration-induced disconnection in harsh environments.

Connect the TC-301 hot link cable to the module. This cable connects the processor to the T8312 expander interface adapter. The interface adapter then links to the controller chassis. Verify the cable is firmly seated at both ends. A loose connection will cause communication failures.

Power the expander chassis with a +24V DC supply. The supply must be within the 20 to 32 Vdc range. Use dual redundant power sources for maximum uptime. The module draws up to 45 Watts during full operation. Check the power supply capacity before commissioning.

Configure the module for either automatic or manual standby. The system supports both repair strategies seamlessly. Automatic mode allows the system to switch independently. Manual mode requires operator intervention for module swaps. Select the mode that matches your maintenance philosophy.
