Mechanical Mounting on the DIN Rail
You must install the 1734-ADN vertically on the DIN rail. Position the module correctly before mounting other base units. Apply firm pressure to push the adapter onto the rail. The locking mechanism will then secure the module automatically.
Connecting the DeviceNet Cable
Attach the DeviceNet plug firmly to the terminal on the module. Tighten the holding screw located on each side of this terminal. This screw ensures a secure and reliable network connection. The recommended cable is Belden YR-29832 or an equivalent third-party cable.
Configuring the Module Address
Set the module address using the embedded thumbwheel switch. This switch is located on the upper right side of the module. You can configure a valid address ranging from 0 to 63. The module uses this address as its default upon power-up.
Understanding the Autobaud Feature
The Autobaud feature detects the network baud rate automatically. It then sets the adapter to a matching communication rate. This rate can be 125K, 250K, or 500K bits per second. This ensures seamless integration with the DeviceNet master.
