The FR‑T0400K delivers exceptional measurement precision for industrial temperature acquisition. This module supports K, J, R, S, B, E, T, N, and C thermocouples. Its NTC and RTD capability covers PT100, PT1000, Cu50, Ni100, Cu100, and Ni1000. A sensor type mix like this suits diverse process control environments.

At a 25 °C ambient temperature the module maintains a thermocouple accuracy of ±0.3% or ±1 °C (whichever is greater). NTC accuracy reaches ±0.1% or ±1 °C. These specifications guarantee reliable temperature readings for critical applications. The 4‑channel input allows simultaneous monitoring of multiple points. Each channel operates independently without cross‑talk interference.

Power consumption stays low at a maximum of 50 mA at 5.0 Vdc. This low draw reduces heat generation inside control cabinets. The module weighs only 65 g and measures 111 × 18 × 76 mm. Its 18 mm width fits neatly into dense DIN‑rail layouts. Engineers can mount the FR‑T0400K quickly using standard 35 mm DIN rails.

Installation & Wiring Best Practices

Install the module on a clean DIN rail away from vibration sources. Connect thermocouple wires using the correct polarity and compensation cable. For RTD sensors use three‑wire or four‑wire configurations to cancel lead resistance. The module’s isolation protects sensitive electronics from ground loops. Always verify sensor type settings in the configuration software before power‑up.

Power the module with a stable 5.0 Vdc supply that can deliver at least 50 mA. We recommend a dedicated power source to avoid noise from other devices. After wiring check the input range for your specific sensor. The FR‑T0400K accepts PT100 ranges from –200 °C to 850 °C and PT1000 from –200 °C to 600 °C. Use appropriate wire gauge to minimise voltage drop over long distances.

The module’s high accuracy suits temperature‑critical processes like heat treating and plastic molding. Its response time depends on the sensor type but typically stays under one second. The FR‑T0400K operates continuously in ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 60 °C. The compact enclosure resists dust and light splashes when mounted inside an IP54 panel. Regular calibration every 12 months maintains the specified accuracy.
